Piano teacher for Keyboard Ventures since 1995, former student of John Melnyk, highly accomplished in Winnipeg Music Festivals for many years, including the Concerto Class and Honors Chopin, has performed with local independent bands, accompanist for singer through the University, currently in 3rd year at the University of Manitoba in the School of Music - Performance Major.
Michael Brandt, guitar director, has been with keyboard ventures since 1999. He has taught hundreds of students over the years of all ages from 5 to 75. With his background of classical piano as a child, then guitar as a young teenager Michael was exposed to wide genre of music. In his late teens he started playing in rock and roll bands. He played in the club circuit in Winnipeg and out to the west coast.
I have known Michael since early 80's, played with him in a group called Model Number in 1986. He has played in various groups since then, currently playing in his own band, The Service, and also the role of Richie Sambora in the BonJovi tribute band Bed of Roses.
He brings with him a wide range of teaching methods enabling to adapt and customize to each individuals needs. He listens to what the student wants to learn, then creates a unique lesson plan tailored to suit him or her.
