Keyboard Ventures Music School provides all students with supplementary music that is arranged to suit their course level. Therefore, even the young beginner will be given simple five finger arrangements within months or even weeks of starting. Popular music from the movies, radio and television such as the Power Rangers, Goosebumps, and Spice Girls, among many others can be taught at any level. Our repertoire of music is kept current and versatile with ranging levels of learning from beginners to advanced and many varieties of music ranging from Classical to Techno to Country to Pop. We even take requests. This music is created with various computer programs and is provided at no additional cost to the students and as part of the school program. We know that it is important to enjoy music and it is a great achievement for any musician at any level to be able to play their favorite songs.
your computer must have the ability to play Midi songs.
**Also note that the following music is transcribed directly from the same sheet
music
that we give to our students. All notes were inputed by hand with the use of a
music
notatating program. As drums were not added to these examples, songs will sound
better live,
using full keyboard capabilities. See
Keyboard Kamps
for more information on full ensemble playing.
For example:
After only a few months of lessons, after learning the notes in the Middle C Position, a young child is able to learn Sailor Moon. A few weeks later, after learning the F Position they can learn Colors of the Wind from Disney's Pocahontas. After learning more notes and the ability to play hands together, a student can learn an easy version of the theme from the TV show Goosebumps.We have several versions of these songs, and after a year or more of lessons, students are able to play more advanced versions of Sailor Moon, Colors of the Wind, and Goosebumps.
As you can hear, songs such as these take more time to learn, and aren't easy. These advanced versions involve the use of chords, octaves, special sounds, complicated fingering and rhythm, and the basic melody line that was first learned in the easier versions. Because these harder songs sound much closer to the original versions, upon learning more about music, the ability to play these songs is an achievable goal that encourages learning in a fun and enjoyable way.
